My Picks for Feeling Balanced, Energised and Reset
April always feels like a reset for me; longer days, lighter evenings and a sense that everything is starting again.
It’s also the time I come back to the rituals that help me feel my best. Not anything complicated, just small, consistent habits that support both my physical and mental wellbeing.
Here are some of my personal picks for April, the rituals I’ve been leaning into lately to feel more energised, balanced and grounded.

1. Starting the Day with Hydration
I always begin my morning with a large glass of water before anything else.
It’s such a simple habit, but one that makes a real difference. It helps wake up the body, clear the mind and set the tone for the day ahead.
2. Adding Beetroot for Energy and Circulation
At this time of year, I like to support my body with more nutrient-rich foods.
Beetroot is something I come back to — either in juice form or added into meals. It’s great for circulation and energy, and feels like a natural way to support vitality as we move into spring.
3. Moving My Body with Intention
Movement is a non-negotiable for me, but I try to keep it balanced.
I practise both vinyasa and yin yoga throughout the week. Vinyasa helps me release tension and build energy, while yin gives me space to slow down, stretch and reset.
I also love to run, it’s one of the quickest ways for me to clear my head and come back to myself.
4. Building Strength
Alongside yoga and running, I’ve been focusing more on strength training.
Lifting heavier weights has helped me feel stronger, more grounded and more resilient — not just physically, but mentally too.
5. Adding Creatine to My Routine
One of the biggest additions to my routine recently has been creatine.
It’s often talked about in a performance context, but I’ve found it to be really supportive as part of a wider wellbeing routine especially when combined with strength training. It helps me feel stronger, more energised and supported day to day. I have been using Artha Creatine lately.
6. Resetting My Space
As the weather changes, I naturally want to refresh my environment.
I’ve been opening the windows more, letting fresh air in and using a purifying room spray to reset the space. It instantly makes everything feel lighter, clearer and more energised.
7. Refreshing My Skin
Spring is always when I come back to exfoliating regularly.
Using an exfoliating body scrub a few times a week helps my skin feel smoother, brighter and more renewed. It’s a small step, but one that makes me feel instantly more put together.
8. Blocking Out the Morning Light
With the clocks changing, mornings can feel a lot brighter.
I’ve been using an eye mask more to block out the early light, especially on days when I want a little more rest. It helps me stay in a deeper, more relaxed state for longer.
9. Taking Time to Breathe
When things feel busy, I always come back to the breath.
Deep breathing, especially belly breathing, is one of the simplest ways to reset the nervous system. Even a few minutes can shift how I feel completely.
10. Getting Outside and Planting Something New
Living near the coast, I try to get outside as much as possible.
Even a short walk by the sea helps me reset and gain perspective. I’ve also started planting seedlings again something I love doing at this time of year. It’s grounding, calming and a reminder to slow down.
Creating My April Ritual
What I’ve learned over time is that wellbeing isn’t about doing everything perfectly.
It’s about returning to the same small rituals movement, nourishment, rest, breath and calm, again and again.
For me, it’s also about layering in simple sensory tools that support those moments. Using an eye mask to rest, an exfoliating scrub to reset, or a purifying spray to refresh my space these small additions help turn everyday habits into something more intentional.
