Nothing affects how you look and feel as much as sleep, or lack of it. Celebrating World Sleep Day March 19th, 2021

This years theme is “Regular Sleep Healthy Future”

Here are a few sleep tips from the World Sleep Society to achieve a healthy sleep:

~ Fix a bedtime and an awakening time.

~ If you are in the habit of taking a nap, do not exceed 45 minutes of daytime sleep.

~ Avoid excessive alcohol ingestion 4 hours before bedtime and do not smoke.

~ Avoid caffeine 6 hours before bedtime. This includes coffee, tea and many sodas, as well as chocolate.

~ Avoid heavy, spicy, or sugary foods 4 hours before bedtime. A light snack before bed is acceptable.

~ Exercise regularly, but not right before bed.

~ Use comfortable bedding.

~ Find a comfortable temperature setting for sleeping and keep the room well ventilated.

~ Block out all distracting noise and eliminate as much light as possible.

~ Don’t use the bed as an office, workroom or recreation room.

The World Sleep Society also recently released research to show just one night of poor quality sleep negativity impacts attention span, memory recall and learning ability.

At Spritz Wellness we provide all natural sleep solutions. Our Aromatherapy Eye Pillow and Eye Masks are ideal for blocking out the light to create a dark space to increase the duration of sleep time. We recommend misting the Sleep Pillow Spray before sleep to allow the soothing scents of the carefully selected essential oil blend to help you drift off to sleep.
