Laura Colucci is a trained yoga teacher and owns a yoga studio in West Sussex where Spritz Wellness, a holistic company founded in 2017, was born. She splits her time between London and her beach house in West Sussex and the inspiration for the Spritz Wellness products comes from a combination of yoga, nature and the sea. Here, she shares her daily wellness habits.
Find time to move every day. Be it a gentle yoga practice, a run/walk or a strength training session. Prioritise exercise. Even better, try to do it first thing in the morning so you can feel a small sense of accomplishment in your day.
The quickest way to come into the present moment, I find, is to focus on the breath. When life gets too much or when I need to feel grounded. I place my attention on to the tip of my nose. I then focus on the cool breath traveling in through my nose and the warm breath travelling out through my nose. A few rounds of focusing on the breath noticeably helps to calm the body and mind.
Focus on gratitude and what you are thankful for. Oprah, says “Gratitude changes your vibrational frequency in the world. It changes what you draw to yourself and changes your outlook.” Try to focus on one thing you are grateful for each day, no matter how big or small.
Maintain a sense of humour. With the world we currently live in, nothing beats a good laugh with friends and family to boost my mood and melt away any stress.
