3 Simple Wellness Rituals I'm Carrying Into 2026

As the founder of Spritz Wellness, I've spent a lot of time thinking about what real wellbeing looks like, not the polished, perfect version, but the kind that fits into everyday life.

As we move into 2026, I'm returning to simple rituals that support calm, balance and the nervous system. These are the practices I come back to again and again, especially on busy days.

Making My Bed: A Small Ritual with Big Impact

One of the first things I do each morning is make my bed. It's a small action, but it instantly brings a sense of order and calm to the day.

To me, making the bed is about intention rather than perfection. It means that my bedroom feels like a calmer, more restful space to return to later, which actually matters more than we often realise.

In a world that can feel rushed and unpredictable, this simple ritual gives me a feeling of grounding.

Drinking Water Mindfully Throughout the Day

Hydration is something I've learned not to overlook. Drinking enough water supports energy, focus, digestion and overall wellbeing.

I always try to start my morning with a glass of water before caffeine. If I remember, I like to add lemon. Throughout the day, I use drinking water as a small reset, like a reminder to slow down, breathe and come back into my body.

A Midday Pause to Reset My Nervous System (When I Can)

By the middle of the day, I can feel how quickly overstimulation builds. That's why I try to take a short pause, even if it's just five minutes.

Sometimes I lie down with an aromatherapy eye pillow, sometimes I simply close my eyes and take a few deep breaths. This small break helps me come back to centre and gives me clarity for the rest of the day. Usually works better than an afternoon coffee, but sometimes I do both.

I've learned that rest doesn't need to be earned, it's something I need in order to function well.

Making the bed, drinking water mindfully, and allowing short pauses have become anchors in my day. They remind me that calm doesn't come from grand gestures, it's built in small, everyday moments.

This is the philosophy behind Spritz Wellness, and the way I'm choosing to move into 2026.

Build a few small anchors of calm into your own day.
